One very Proud Mummy……

Please excuse me whilst I indulge myself in saying How Proud I am of my boy, Jonathan Roy Gillingham. (seen here with his sister a couple of years back) P7070003-1He graduated on Friday 13th November 2009 in Bristol Cathedral. He now has a BA (Hons) in Film Studies and Media and Cultural Studies. He left home, here in Winchester, Hampshire to move to Bristol to attend the UWE. What a wonderful Uni this is if anyone has someone considering University. The years have flown by….. from this image_thumb94[7]to this IMG_0200 I am extremely proud of him he has worked (and played !) very hard and I think he has loved every minute of it. He is staying in Bristol, living and working there. Bristol is a beautiful city. I travelled up there in the most awful weather on Friday and travelled back on the same day but I would not have missed it for the world…. Love you my boy, you have made me very proud and Gran was there with us on your graduation day in spirit I am sure. How proud of you she would be x x x

Lovely Fireworks…..

Every year in Winchester The Winchester Round Table Bonfire and Fireworks display takes place. This year is was the 49th one. Around 20,000 people follow a torch lit procession from Winchester Guildhall to the North Walls playing fields. Then the bonfire is lit by the Mayor of Winchester. And then the fireworks start…. 1900791700_42758e1709 291673172_cf3ffe4a0b 291673847_0020d7981d 291673982_63d5432f17 1899942567_ee4dee2582 The fireworks are wonderful, Little Man was quite impressed but preferred his spinning light ‘thingy’ that Uncle Jonny bought him ! PICT0935 Not often I get my two together so it was a lovely evening x

They usually raise about £30,000 for local charities. It is quite unbelievable that the whole event is free but long may it continue ~
